About the National Centre for Family Wellbeing (NCFWB)

background

Concerned for the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, a group of researchers in conjunction with industry and community partners have been involved with the delivery and evaluation of the Family Wellbeing Program. Through its success and demand the program has extended to many sites across the nation and has also been utilised as an intervention to address different social and health issues. The program has been systemically reviewed and as such the research component of the program has contributed significantly to the evidence base in this field. The National Centre for Family Wellbeing has been established to support the program's sustainability on a national level in response to the limitations of short term funding for such programs.
